Getting better is simply practice, practice, practice! Youtube videos are great for ideas on colors and styles, from natural looks, to bolder nighttime looks, to va-va-voom model worthy looks! There's also plenty of tutorials to learn how. Also, going up to a make-up counter in a department store can be daunting, but I worked as a beauty adviser/make-up artist in a major department store for two popular cosmetic lines. The girls there can be really helpful, especially at a down time when there's not much going on. We obviously LOVE make-up because we're there, so teaching someone tips and tricks who also loves make-up is definitely fun!
