Beauty is an abstract notion linked to many different aspects. Beauty is an experience, a sensorial experience that procures pleasure or visual satisfaction. Beauty comes from the shape, the visual aspect, the movement.

Beauty is subjective. Society builds the criteria for what beauty is. For instance, in Europe, during the 16th century, a beautiful womanwas a woman with many curves. During the 18th century, women hadto be really white, now look, we have to be tan and skinny!

Beauty coms from the inside as well as the outside, it is personal. Make-up doesn't make a person pretty, it gives a self confidence that makes a person pretty... "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder means that everyone sees beauty differently. what one person thinks is beautiful might be ugly to someone else

	Comment by: damomma253 beauty is seen in the wrinkles of my 68 year old grandmother. Crows feet and laugh lines are apparent due to the smiles she gave. She was content with what she had and gave all she could. Years of children, grand children, hard work and love created those wrinkles and not a day goes by that we don't miss her.
