ELF at Target!!

Starting Nov. 1st ELF will be available at target!!

Haha I'm a huge fan but the thing that will still draw me towards buying online is the fact that i can use coupon codes?

But then there's always shipping fee's and the waiting!

So, do you think you'll continue buying online or buying from target and why?

I think I'll stick to the online store for the most part. The coupons and the convenience of shopping at home are great. Plus I usually go in on an order with a couple friends or my mom and sis so I usually end up paying only a dollar or two toward shipping. I like taking my time picking out what I want, I always feel hurried in the store. I always feel like a kid on Xmas when I get to open my big box of ELF goodies when it arrives so shipping isn't an issue for me, it just makes it more fun I think

I think I would use Target occaisonally if I ran out a while before I wanted to place an order. I'd also probably browse the colors in person while on a grocery run or something so there'd be a little less guess work when I go to online. I'd like to smell the new bath and body line before I decide to buy anything too.

Pros and cons to both but for the most part I'll be sticking to the internet.

Great question!

I'm happy to have both options.  I like expecting a package, but there is a lot to be said for seeing the products before buying.

Also, I can't imagine Target carrying all of E.L.F.'s lines and products.  There will still be a need for online purchasing.  That's fine by me seeing how there are always coupon codes and promotions to sweeten the shopping.

As long as the prices aren't too high at Target, I would prefer to buy in store (no shipping costs.) However, getting to a Target store is difficult, although not impossible, so I'll probably stick to buying online unless I happen to be at a Target.

 Haha everyone has a point.

I remember the 1st ELF package i got  i wasn't home for, so my boyfriend was there to send me a picture telling me that it was there. I freaked out! lol

But yeah, i'm hoping to see the outcome but i'm thinking i'm going to browse at target, and buy at home.

I love sweetsophia's idea of buying for a bunch of people.

I always announce that i'm doing hauls on facebook and stuff and theres always a bunch of people buying with me, i always end up not having to pay for shipping at all :)

Meijer also has some of the items! Im sure Target wont be carrying everything. At my local meijer each item is 1.07 plus tax. Not bad if your already there and need the product asap. But they dont keep it stocked very well.

if elf would do shipping by how much the package weighs I would order more often! sometimes I only need one or 2 items but im not paying 7$ for shipping.

Has anyone purchased the ELF brushesI am hoping that Target  will carry themI really  like the eye liner brush and the flat foundation brush.  It would be great if they could ship flat rate like so many others are doing now.   Keep up the good work.

Well i think our big lots have ELF, but to my hopes target will have a more organized and assorted line of ELF.

We don't have a meijer haha this was the first time to know of its existence but it sounds cool lol

i've purchased ELF studio brushes, and you CANNOT go wrong with them. I do think that the shipping is a bit high because i think oh with 7 dollars i could buy a bunch of other stuff right? But i tend to do big hauls with other friends and families and split the shipping costs so its not that big a deal?

 hi!

The price will be the same! For the moment you will find the $ ligne!  But please vocalize your products requests to the store manager or to the Target Facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/target?ref=ts

Thanks ;-)

OMG!  I haven't bought anything online from e.l.f. yet but I always wanted to.  When I first heard that e.l.f. products were are KMart I ran there, BUT, KMart would never have a good stock of it, nor did they even have a shelf for it.  So I hated that the most because I was never able to find the products I wanted to try or they never had it for me to try.  I was always pissed off!  I am from St. Paul, MN and the KMarts here don't have any products maybe only one or a few.  Then I go to school 2 hours away and they still don't even carry the line.  I even asked the employees and they didn't even know if they carried the line or not and I told them, "It's exclusive to KMart."  They told me to go to the $1 store.  Pathetic!  E.L.F. I think you need to put KMart in check!

I'll probably do a little of each. For example, I ran out of my moisturizing hydrotint the other day and now I have to wait until my rder gets here to have more; when e.l.f. is at Target I'll be able to just pick it up on the way home from work. But, I do enjoy getting packages in the mail as well, so I'll probably still order things like blush, eye shadow, and lipstick online.

Haha i don't even think we HAVE Kmarts anymore here in Texas,

I've actually seen elf at places like Burlington coat factory, crazy right? But they only had kits.

I know Big lots not only has ELF but other brands like NYX? But i'm positive that both these places are horrible with their inventory of ELF.

HOPEFULLY, Target will be stocked with ELF stuff :)

I know what you mean, like i'll just want to try 1 thing, and i just don't want to pay like 6.95 to ship 1 thing, i want to get my moneys worth hahaha so i'll REALLY appreciate ELF being there.

I'll probably switch from grocery shopping at wal-mart and go to Target instead lol

REALLY!!! OMG!!  Yes I am sad.  I LOVE elf and buy it not just for me but for friends and family.  The only downside is the affect on my bank account having it right there.  :)

I go to Geneva College which is in the middle of no where, but we have a target in the township of Cranberry not to far away.  I'm sooooo excited that ELF will be held in Targets!!  I'm just a poor college kid haha soo the shipping kills and when i have a coupon for like two dollar shipping it's great but I still have to buy 15 dollars worth of stuff!!  but like everyone else on this message board I only need like one or two things, or I just like to see the product before I buy it!  I can't wait for november to get here now!!!

I purchase e.l.f. products online all of the time, I have never had a problem with shipping. I used to purchase from Target but since I moved the Target stores in my area do not carry e.l.f. products. Now that their available and only carrying the $1 line, I will purchase whatever the store has then continue with my online shopping for other products especially the Studio Line which I am in LOVE with!

I live close to two Targets, including one in tax-free New Hampshire, so I'll probably buy a lot of it from there. But I'll definitely use the site for special deals and products that aren't in stores.

Haha i'm thinking i'll buy mineral and studio on the site,

because of all the awesome codes!!!

I was at Target just yesterday, and I bought a few things, but I will still definitely continue to buy from the website due to the incredibly limited selection available in stores.

haha i remember that i saw it at one section in target and i though that was it.

Then the second time i went i looked around and there was more elf! Hidden somewhere lol

I just went to Target to check out the ELF products.  Sadly I didn't see any mineral items but the selection wasn't horrible.  They should definately add more products though.  I did get to view a few things that I've been checking out on the site and got a better look at the colors, so that was a plus!

When I got their I was excited to check it out, I was very dissapointed they did't add singles you basically had to purchase a packeage. Although great stocking stuffers I would have wanted to see more singles and brushes from the STUDIO line.

 haha everyone gives this feedback!!

Its exactly how i feel lol

i went to go see how "flirt" the hypershine lipgloss looked in person

its actually a peach color not a vibrant pink

so i'm glad because it wasn't what i was looking for.

But they need more stuff to stock!! :)

Both! Target will be great when I run out of something and can't wait for the mail. I'll always use online, because I know that Target will probably not have every item in every color. The idea of being able to see things at Target before I buy is great, but my elf products never go to waste. I share the things that don't work for me with my sisters and friends.

i heard it was just a promotion for the holidays either way i will stay shopping online i usually get my shipments in 2 or 3 days i never did have the waiting problem. the brushes are good i would use the studio line ones they are super soft! the regular line ones are ok for the eyes not the face though. hope this helps.

I was so excited to see ELF at Target! Is it just for the holidays or year round?  I went to 3 different Targets over the course of a week and the selection wasn't great. All the single items were gone already. I was able to get one blush brush.

I'm crazy about ELF make-up. There hasn't been any product that I didn't really like. It's not such a let down when one of the products(thats only 1 to 3 dollars)  isn't exactly like you thought it would be like. I just give it to my friends or find another way to make the color work. I'm crazy for this company..lol

yes their selection is rather limited but its at my fingertips?

I think Target carries some of the best cosmetics!

But like you said we can always use the codes online!

And sometimes the stores dont carry all of the products

I would love to see the entire line at Target and would definitely shop there.  It would be terrific to see all of the colors and products in person.  Target is my favorite store anyway and I'm so glad to see E.L.F. partnering up with them!!

I first bought elf at some rinky dink store in the bronx, but was happy because they had the brushes I so desperately wanted to try. Got a couple of the $1 eyeshadow kits also and I like them. I went to Target and was super excited to see elf but this one didn't have much stuff (then again it was black friday weekend sale there). I did buy the smokey eyes kit, a nailpolish kit and a liquid lipstick, even though I placed a big order like the day before! HAHA but for the quality you get for the price, how can you not want more of it?  The discounts online are cool and will keep me placing big orders every once in a while, expecially if they come out with new products, but I think when I do go to Target I won't be able to resist picking up an item or 3 ;)

If you use the code "CAROLINA" it covers shipping and then some. Plus, the target prices are 50c more expensive! I'll just buy online, but if it's an emergency it's good for it to be there.

Glad Target is carrying ELF since I was anxious to try the products.  They are so limited in color choice, but the product packs are done very well.  Love the lip gloss!  I think they will do very well as stocking stuffers.  Great timing with the marketing asepct.

The Target manager told me they were only carrying it for Christmas.  They were already sold out and I could only get a 3 pack of liquid shadow.  I wanted to purchase something to enter the contest that e.l.f. is having now.

I was very excited as well to hear they were selling at target; so i have scoped all of the local targets and super targets. I was really disappointed to see that the only things that were being sold were packages of items...4 packs of lip gloss or 6 packs of nail polish etc.

no individual items at all, even the brushes were in a pack.  is it like that everywhere or just here in MN??

Hello,

In response to the post by :  tohonophn

Has anyone purchased the ELF brushes?

I am a Professional Fashion Photographer & Make-Up Artist (MUA)  I LOVE these products.  Everyone is trained to beleive that MAC and others are the best for production - I disagree.

Not only are the prices affordable - Like silly affordable - the quality is good enough to be used on set for any of my productions and photo sessions that include make-up.

I have every single brush - the white and the blacks at least triple of each. I LOVE THEM - use them all the time. Infact I use to use disposables and would have to spend a great deal more each session.  At a 1.00 per item - not only can I use the brushes ad make-up to achive great results - I can afford to give each model some of the products/brushes used on them.  Like the little _push up_ tube of foundation.. I use it and give it to them - they love it too.

I put my brushes through the test too - I have to cleanse after use (I use thier product for that too) and I run them through a heat sterilizer as well and the brushes hold up ...... actually, better then some Chanel brushes that I USE to use. (they range 50.00 and up - per brush) So trust me, YES they are AMAZING brushes... I would pay whatever they wanted for them - at 1.00-3.00 per brush I will buy stock in them LOL.

In regards to being available at TARGET.... I am not a fan of that idea... anything produce in mass production is weaken by demand.

Without knowing their business numbers and the "need" for mass sales .....I think right now, this company is doing GREAT with promos/coupons and shipping specials and producing a GREAT product.. I am worried that the quality will go down or the price go up - once the demand is greater.... I Hope Not.

I have also purchased their bags... Much larger then I expected and super quality - great price.  I think i own everything they sell, at least one. LOL

Well, have a great day everyone. Crystal Rose

i will buy online and purchase at target. the target store in my hometown has a small shelf to itself, and the products are sold year-round, so if i were to run out of something then i could pick it up at the store instead of waiting for it to ship. the coupons are a major attraction to ordering online, and there are products that aren't in stores that are online.

If Target keeps selling e.l.f. products I would definitely buy it there.  It'll be more convenient and easier to shop there b/c it's close by my house and I go there all the time.  I hope it does come back in March and stays for good.  I also hope Target will have a more variety then just 10 itms.

I've recently scene ELF at Target and I have to say it is nice to be able to see the product in person but I have to agree that the selection in very limiting and I can always count on "www.Retailmenot" to find coupon codes to pay for shipping and the freebies that go with it. I think I'll stick with the online version for now.

I'm a stay-at-home mom with very little time to run around.  Plus getting in and out of the store with two small children is quite the task---and forget taking your time to look at something.  With little to no extra cash the product you get for the cost is outstanding.

I'll continue to buy online for the most part.

If you live in Texas we have Kroger grocery stores. I found ELF there this weekend. So I stocked up on somethings. They didn't have minerals though, just some of their basic stock. I was definitely glad not to pay shipping.

I just stopped at Target today b/c I placed an online order last week and now realized I need more cover up.  Ack!  But Target didn't have ELF products that I could find  :(

I imagine if they did I would do a combination of both online and Target shopping.  I love ELF!

I purchased my first elf products from target actually.... im so mad that i got onto this bandwagon so late! lol...i always shop at target and not every target has elf brand i now realized... however, i go to many targets and about a couple of weeks ago i needed some eyeliner and WOA! i saw the elf products and i was checking out the STUDIO line and the products looked way to nice to be so cheap so i bought each of everything they had of the studio line and the elf professional line--- i know im an impulse buyer---my husband hates that. Then i rushed home and tried the products and now im hooked. i already have a drawer full of elf products, but then i go to elf.com and HA! even more products. and right off the bat they sent me an email with a 50% off code for the studio line and i just ordered whatever i couldn't buy at target saved almost $100 dollars. super happy.... however still waiting for my order to process---bummer... hope it comes before the end of the month tho... however, im super happy with the products i have now-- i love the elf products because they dont irrate my face at all! love it! now i wear elf cosmetics every single day- and with all of the different items i can do a different look every day. LOVE it. LOVE it. LOVE it. =) YAH!

Unfortunately one Target doesn't have ELF as of yet (I have hope).  However, I do try to see if any store I go to carries them, like Big Lots and Target.  Though it seems I will be purchasing online more until ALL Targets are consistant with supplying ELF products or at least in my neck of the woods.

I perfer to purchase online for that reason i can get what I need without worrying if Target has it in their store. The Target near me really don't have a huge selection of elf products and they are always out of stock never full, so I'm limited to the things that I want. Now, I can't get any beauty books online, but I can get them from Target, anything else will have to come from elf online store.

Ordering online is better, I love my first purchase from elf, and I love my purchase from Target as well. But online is way much better than heading to Traget. Now I'm going to have to check my big lots. I hate the shipping, $ 7 to ship is a bit much, but the products are worth it to me.

I'm so addicted to elf products lol. Especially since i'm on a budget, with  everything so cheap  I mean, what's there to lose!! Nothin'. I'm happy to have both options.  I like expecting a package, but there is a lot to be said for seeing the products before buying. I'll stick with ordering online. I love elf so very much. I need a job with this company!

Online, definitely...coupon codes, freebies & lots of items that Target & BigLots don't have in stock. With as much of E.L.F. that I buy, the shipping is a moot point as I'd probably be shelling out the same amount in sales tax!
